Today is the first day of National Simplify Your Life Week which happens to be the first week of August. In order to make it a little more "simple" to organize your week, I've come up with a Seven Day Simplify Your Life Week Plan you can try one day at a time. Since the first day of August is on a Wednesday this year, the plan starts there today. So give it a try, let me know how it's going.

Day #1- WEDNESDAY
Let your voice mail answer your phone more.
How many times have you instinctively reached over and grabbed your phone to answer it when you could have or probably should have let it go. Our phones were made with voice mail for a reason. Sometimes it's okay to not be available. If someone wants you to call them back you can just as soon as you finish doing what you are doing.
Create a Smiling Space by not answering your phone when:
- you're driving
- when you're in the bathroom
- eating dinner with your family
- at a restaurant with a date or while ordering
- if you're taking a nap
- at a movie
- on an airplane
- while checking out or paying for something
